Professional
Background
Dr. David J. Zeiger is in his 16th year of family practice. He
received his degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine
and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. He is an Osteopathic
physician and surgeon, board-certified in family practice. He
is an attending physician at St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center
in Chicago. He is a clinical preceptor for medical students and
residents from Northwestern, Rush and Loyola Medical Schools.
Dr. Zeiger completed the Medical Acupuncture for Physicians course
from the University of California in Los Angeles in 1993. He has
lectured to the American Medical Association on medical acupuncture
and traditional Chinese herbal medicine.
Personal
Interests
Dr.
Zeiger is married and resides in Chicago. He loves to cook, especially
Chinese, Mandarin, Szechwan , Italian, and traditional Jewish
cuisines. One of his hobbies is "throwing pottery."
He also maintains an active lifestyle that includes bicycling,
rollerblading, racquetball, and backpacking. He loves to travel,
having visited Israel, Mexico, and Canada.
